Depending on the severity, symptoms of scoliosis may include:

  • Uneven shoulders
  • Uneven hips
  • Head not centered above pelvis
  • Rib hump
  • One shoulder blade that “sticks out” or protrudes
  • Uneven leg length
  • Waist/trunk shift to one side
  • Back pain
  • Decreased pulmonary function
  • Withdrawal from others
  • Poor self-image/low self-esteem
